Yes, the bad effects have been beaten to death!    You should read up about all the other deadly chemicals we use in our hobby.  As it has been said many times: using common sense (and proper handling) makes them safer to use.

Yep. And scientists are discovering it's producing a generation of people allergic to everything because they've built up no natural resistance from being exposed to the "normal" contaminants that come with life.

Did I read here that Tenax is no longer sold? (Yes, with understanding there's an industrial equivalent.)

Yup. No more school food from home for class events is the latest casualty. Any food shared with kids must come from a health department inspected kitchen.

Plus refusing to immunize children will result in epidemics of diseases thought to be eradicated.    When I grew up there was no option to skip immunizations and it made perfect sense. Now people can opt out because of "personal beliefs"  What is this world coming to?  Sometimes the greater good overrides personal preferences (based in shady research in the first place).

IIRC, Tenax problem only applies to Canada.  Besides, Ambroid ProWeld is pretty much the same stuff (and sold in larger bottles).

My misspent youth involved RC boats, cheap model rockets stuffed with black cats, and a launching pad mounted on a servo for aiming purposes.  On a calm day, we were pretty accurate......
