As a side note, 1/200th scale kits also work for some applications - especially in the background.

Do you have any suggestions on good places to find 1:200 buildings?   I searched eBay and got mostly jet planes.

N Scale Architect has some, too.

Which of their offerings are plastic building kits?

Nu Line had some nice industrial business.

NuLine is no more.  I believe the partners had a falling out.  It is a shame they made some very good products. Tunnel Motor grills, building details and of course the warehouses and station.

Did I miss something?  The original question was specifically asking for plastic model kit manufacturers. To me that eliminates cast resin, or laser cut wood, paper, etc.

Ms. Dee: Could you ask Kiz if he meant (injection molded) plastic kits only?  :|

Yeah, I guess so. Like the Walthers Cornerstone kits. What other type(s) are there?

Hmm... I bet Kiz hasn't

Why would you exclude resin?   He just said Plastic Building Kit.   Resin is plastic.

I can see excluding laser cut wood and paper, although--as do many threads--it seems it morphed into building kit manufacturers in general.   Since laser cut kits are usually highly advertised as such, I think this would be "no harm no foul"....if you do 30 seconds of research you can tell if something is plastic or otherwise.

I just threw in the "injection" ting to be unambiguous.  The point was that you for some reason known to you wanted only plastic kits (and not the plethora of other kits available using other materials or manufacturing methods).

At my age, I prefer kits that are relatively simple to assemble. I built my share of craftsman kits when I was in HO last century.

Downtown Deco, although they're also Resin.  Ratio Scale Models (UK) makes a few kits but has a better line of plastic materials, like brick and stone wall and slate roofing sheets.

A 1/200th kit would probably work for almost anything without people doors or railings, simply because structures themselves come in an almost infinite variety of sizes.  Many of Plastruct's parts sold as "N Scale" are actually 1:200.  For a foreground model changing the doors and railings could make others usable.  Tanks, piping, bins, etc have no real "scale", unless corrugations or fittings start looking too far from "normal".

I saw Woodland Scenics mentioned in an earlier post so I assumed resin was ok. If he wants simple then most of the resin kits qualify.
Randy Brown has quite a selection of simple kits which may be cast resin but the walls are much, much thinner than woodland scenics kits.

Randy Brown has some new models that he sells on ebay. I like the
look of them.

Bachmann - never cared for the n scale PLASTICVILLE kits- look more like
1/120 scale.
