  I get Model Railroader , Trains , and Railroad Model Craftsman as gift subscriptions . Used to be I couldn't wait to get the new issue , Now it seems to be the same old thing month after month . I can get everything I am looking for off of the internet . Now I also get the Narrow Gauge & Short line Gazette and still enjoy reading through it. Also get MRH on line every month.

I subscribe in print to NSR (wish I could do digital), digitally to RMC and Classic Trains, and faithfully download MRH.  I pick up MR and Kalmbach special issues (digitally) and N Scale from time to time.

MR is getting very close to convincing me to subscribe again.   Over the past couple of years, I have definitely noticed them
pulling away from being just a "coffee table book".  Recently, they had an article on how to make a wheel/gear puller to
regauge wheels.   I jumped out of my seat when I saw that.  Not that I need one, but just the fact that they would
do something so... what's the word... "craftsmany"... bodes well for the direction they are heading.

 i subscribe to:  mr, rmc, n scale rring, n scale mag and have all the great model rrs and the mr annual.  rmc seems to have some good modeling articles:  hmmm, actual modeling--what is that?  could care less about reading a magazine by staring at my computer.  not for me.

My almost regular column in N Scale nets me an author's copy when I'm in, that almost counts as a subscription...
I do enjoy N Scale Railroading when I get it, but none of my local shops or newsstands carry it.
I scan MRH when they drop a new edition, but I guess I'm old school and have a hard time focusing on pixels...

Otherwise, I visit the local shop now and again and pay for a copy of MR when the cover interests me and I have $6.

I agree with the assessment that it's gotten better recently, but I also agree that it's gotten pretty thin.

Western Maryland Ry Historical Society Blue Mountain Express is the only thing I pay dues for.

Recently dropped "RMC" because I thought the content had gotten weak.

Belong to two historical societies that have magazines... Penn Central Historical Society and the Pittsburg, Shawmut & Northern Historical Society.

Model Railroader subscriber for years.  Also, I separately buy Classic Trains, Trains, and The Railroad Press at Barnes & Noble when the content gives me reference ideas for my N scale hobby.   I really like Classic Trains and plan to subscribe.  Model Railroader, Trains, and Classic Trains are published by Kalmbach Publishing Company, and they usually run ahead of schedule with good reading material!

I also have subscribed to Railroad Model Craftsman for years, but they are getting thinner.  Also RMC continues to run at least a month behind.  Here it is July 28 and I still have not received my June RMC.  I emailed (like in past) customer service, but no response.  Also, I called RMC Customer Service and got only promise of eventually receiving my magazine.  I pressed for an answer and was told that it was rumored that the publisher moved.  I am going to cancel my subscription.  No, the US Mail is not to blame since I have lived at the same address for some 19 years and other mail and magazines come on time.
