Hey everyone. Does anyone know if NS still has any Conrail patched units with the CR paint scheme still on the roster or have they all be re-painted to date? Thanks!

Chris Toth does a very good job keeping up with the NS roster.  According to him, there is 1 left...it's a C40-8 #8312.

Aw shucks. Looks like #8312 is in the midst of a Dash 8.5 upgrade in Altoona. I was hoping to take a crack at doing a patched ex-CR unit for my fleet. I guess I missed the bus...

You could simply pull your time frame back 2-3 years and model one, that's what I did for the 4 CR patched units I did.

Time is so fluid that it probably won't affect much else if you just widen the window by a few years to have a few ex-CR units on the roster

Chris Toth's web site is a great reference.  From my own personal experience, it's been about 4 years since I've seen a patched Conrail unit here on the Pittsburgh division. The only patched units now are the SD40-2's that NS just purchased with the graffiti numbers  :P
