Hard to tell the quality of the scenery from that angle and distance.

This breathtaking photo is by a friend, Glenn Koproske, who was able to get away to attend this year's Spencer roundhouse event:

A BNSF SD75I still in the warbonnet, complete with 'Santa Fe' bilboard lettering on CN in Toronto. Re numbered back to it's original 208, but someone blanked out the trailing eight on the cab, then must have realized the mistake and painted out the leading eight while restoring the trailing eight:

CP crude oil with boring power but interesting lighting:

That 3rd car in line looks like an ex Boston and Maine hopper I shot in Enola, PA 2 weeks ago.

I'm not sure what commodity they're hauling, but those former B&M cars move in a block like the one at the headend of this train on a daily basis (the seventh and last car in this block is also a former B&M car). They're a treat to catch, and luckily for me, a daily sight moving east and west through Toronto on CN.

And here are two I shot this week

First up is a somewhat recently repainted CSX hopper with a rusting problem already.  I took this one because I'm fairly certain I have a model of this car in my collection somewhere

And secondly, the Gettysburg and Northern had a heavy train at some point today.  Here it is seen leaving Mt Holly Springs with 7 or 8 (I forgot to count) covered hoppers in tow.  Please excuse the "foggy" picture.  I had a smudge on my camera lens

Adam, did you catch the 2 Heritage Units yesterday? The Wabash and the Southern went through Mt Holly Springs about 11:30.

Nope, I was in Mechanicsburg.  I did catch the local from Camp Hill to the ethanol/gasoline mixing depot but I didn't have a clear shot for pictures.

I was off work today and Mom Nature provided Kodachrome skies over Harrisburg.  What was intended to be a two-hour max hangout near Enola turned out to be several hours after I learned that the Lackawanna Heritage unit was headed for Enola.  What follows are the more interesting shots I took today.

Wabash unit from the Streamliners at Spencer event:

A Genset unit?

I did not want to get any closer to this guy...

Nice pictures Ron.  I don't think you'd have any problems with the snake, doesn't look to be poisonous  :D  Pattern looks like a Northern Water Snake
