Any  :ashat: s planning to be prowling around the Cow Palace?

Probably making the drive up from Fredericksburg for this show. I'll be looking for a good DCC dealer to speak with about power districts and auto reversers.

Beyond that it's gravy to look at. Might bring a white elephant table item, but not sure.

I'm planning on being there with the CRHS (and BANTRAK, at intervals). We'll have a table selling CR swag and loot.

I'm expecting to be there on Saturday and for some of Sunday.

I'm debating whether to come down Saturday afternoon or not. I could also come down Sunday or not at all, but we'll see,

Doooo it!

I have a pancake breakfast until 10 so I wouldn't leave until 11. I can't believe it's only open until 4. At least WGH was open until 6 on Saturday and 5 on Sunday,

Not sure if I will do Saturday or Sunday. Have a Super Bowl party invite in Maryland so Sunday may make more sense: hit train show then stop to see friends and watch the game before coming home.

Is MB Klein open on Sundays?

l was planning to go but changed by mind.  There is another show closer to me in March and although not as large, it is much closer.  Upper Marlboro on about 15 to 20 minutes and Timonium is about an hour or more depending on the Balgtimore beltway traffic.

In all honesty, browsing their website is better than actually going to the store.

In all honesty, browsing their website is better than actually going to the store.

This is generally true, unless you're feeling the need for an impulse purchase.  Sometimes it's easier to browse in person than via website, but not everything on the website is available for your viewing pleasure on the salesroom floor.

FYI, historically, MBK has offered a 10% off sale for in-store purchases on the day (Saturday) of a Great Scale Model Train Show.  However, I cannot confirm at this time that they are doing that for this show.

MARRS will be there, but in its HO identity, so I won't be up there for the whole time like I am for N-scale shows.

I expect to be there for a while on Saturday, though.

I found a FNS Kit on their website. I happened to be in town. I though I just visit and purchase. It took them nearly 30 minutes to pull the item out the warehouse. I should have placed an online order for local pickup. But yeah, I agree with you ont he impulse buys.  Especially with scratch building things. Sometime I don't know what i need until I see what's all there.  That trade off is that they have nearly everything.

I'll be there with BANTRAK. Friday and Sunday for sure. I'm hauling the club trailer. Look for a quick tear down on (Superbowl) Sunday.
