:ashat: is a Railwire member.

Just being a railwire member gets you  :ashat: status ?  Here I thought you had to be voted into that and pass a test

On that note, this  :ashat: might go on Saturday

I'm planning on being there with the CRHS (and BANTRAK, at intervals). We'll have a table selling CR swag and loot.

Official disclaimer: The CRHS, Inc. does not sell "swag". Only filthy hipsters sell swag.

I have a pancake breakfast until 10 so I wouldn't leave until 11. I can't believe it's only open until 4.

Phil

.........and it will take you much longer than that, to trudge MILE after MILE, across the FROOOOOOzen tundra, [from] the Parish of St. Alphonso.............

They used to keep it open until 1700, but stopped selling tickets at 1600 (or was it open until 1800 but stopped selling tickets at 1700?).  I did check my notice card and it DOES say 1600.  Then, there was that year that the water main broke on one of the main roads and Mr. Zane kept it open until 1900, or so, just so people could wait for the traffic to abate.

MBK usually gives you an extra ten per cent off one item that you purchase on the day or either the GSMTS or a GREEDberg show.  MBK actually showed up at the GSMTS and G-berg shows with stock, for a while, but I guess that they decided that it was too expensive.  I know that they usually had a crowd at their tables.

Wanted to do a big swing....show, MBK, White Rose and Choo Choo Nuts. Choo Choo closed as they go to the show. So, game time decision on Saturday if it's just MBK and White Rose or we throw Howard his $9 (that's ridiculous) and make it a day.

Going to Klein's in person does have it's advantages...I went in about 3 weeks after everybody and their brother sold out of those WOT SP Hydra-Cushion cars....lo and behold, there's one sitting in the case just waiting to be purchased.  Anything in the cases is not listed online, so sometimes they do have some old stock on hand (by old for Klein's, I mean like they "sold out" something a month ago)

What's the interest in White Rose?  Got your eye on something specific?  Or just going to go check it out?

A while back, I cleaned MBK out of their last ten or fifteen Atlas N scale #5 and #7 turnouts in stock that were hanging on the wall in the store that didn't show online.

Still 50/50 on Saturday and if I come down it'll be Saturday afternoon only. Have to see how my body feels after no sleep Wednesday and Thursday (migrating applications suck) and an ops session tonight,

Might have considered going, be a nice "return to the hobby" type weekend trip, but got the Flu this week and am just wrecked.

Probably have to wait till the next Dulles Expo Center show I think.
