2014 Showcase Miniatures Vehicles starting line up

I think these latest body styles should go well with the Loadstar cab, and I am curious if we will see these released with the older cab style. Showcase seems to be gravitating towards a modular truck design which is very beneficial to modelers. We can pick and choose just how we want our models to look, and each one will be vastly different.

Yes and yes Daniel but you have recognized the gravitational forces that drive our development of new models.  More specifically you, Lou, Carter, Jonathan, Tim, and many of our friends who have invested their time to talk to us on our Facebook page and Railwire to tell us about what they want.  It is not easy to give everybody what they want.  However there are ways to get closer than others.  You have broken one of our secret codes.
Last year when we put a plan together to reintroduce Showcase Miniatures and its lines.  The most important part of that plan was to be in direct contact with those who use our products.  I am so glad that you have discovered that this is our desire.  Most importantly I hope you like how we are doing this.  Thank you.

One type of body I would like to see available is a log/pulpwood body with the hydraulic arm for loading the wood. A fuel delivery body would be nice too.

While the Autocars and Brockways are fine for those modeling the Eastern shore, they were a little more rare here in the West.  There are plenty of fuel delivery bodies available, CMW, GHQ, C-n-C to name a few.  I don't see redundancy being beneficial.  The Freightliner has been done (GHQ and Detail Associates) and can still be found.
There are fine models of Peterbilts by both GHQ (Conventional) and Showcase (Cabover).
The tractor that really needs to be done is a 1960's to early 1970's Kenworth conventional and/or Cabover.
Call it a K Type.

I was thinking of a more modern fuel body then the CMW and GHQ, something more appropriate to the late 1970's early 80's. The CNC is much bulkier then the type that I grew up around in Maine, I will try to find an online photo, If someone has made one that I have missed please let me know.

Thanks for the link Bryan, but the ones I remember didn't have nearly as many toolboxes along the frame as the CnC, and by the early 80's I remember curbside delivery reals as opposed to tailgate mounted. Basically the earliest versions of the modern Stainless fuel delivery bodies. Like I said I will try to find apoicture of what I am thinking of, but it is very different then what is out there.

The GHQ is the later type with rectangular headlights, and the Detail Associates is a White.  My post specifically identified the older type of Freightliner COE with round headlights which are required for Canadian Freightways and Consolidated Freightways, as well as a whole host of other users.

While MOW trucks are too new for me, the modular approach is a great one for the reasons already described.

Tim, you're mistaken. 
The GHQ model definitely has round headlights.  If you need me to photograph the model for you specifically, I can do that.

Oh, and the DA model is not a White.  It may be a White-Freightliner, but not a White.

Actually, two round headlights in a rectangular housing.  I am looking for the older style with large single round headlights and no lip protruding over the cab windows.

I don't know of a prototype for what you describe Tim.  There were some with a single individual round headlight, however the paired headlights were always part of a one piece dual bezel.

Now, it's possible that GHQ erred in the execution of the Master but it's pretty dang close, isn't it?

As far as the lip or visor above the windshield, that can be filed off and reshaped easily enough by a modeler of your skill level.

This! This is exactly what I need! Rear reel hose mounts have never been done in N and have been n service for over 30 years. I need a ton as these are prevalent in Massachusetts. Bonus points for making a body that also fits on the Athearn Ford C cab. If you need measurements and detail photos, let me know. I can take them off a C cab and International that my local oil company uses.

These images were from Hank's Truck Pictures which appears to be defunct now, so I cannot link directly to them.  These are the extended chassis version to carry the drom boxes.  One of these was apparently based at Dawson Creek which is the locale for my layout.
