I attended the the NJ Division's Delanco meet yesterday. Two interesting presentations, one on modeling using cheap supplies not found in hobby stores and the other on tools you can use and, again, cheap sources for said tools. I also came away with a 1993 ORER and 2 HO building kits that have generic enough walls that I should be able to bash into some kind of factory,

Attended the TRAINS '13 show in Burnaby, BC last weekend.  The PGE/BCR Modellers group had a very nice display with lots of static models and a running layout in N-Scale and very nice HO display table as well.  Present were Railwire members Tim H., Greg K, Paul C-S, Bob D. Chris D., and also David M., Nolan and Mike M.  I took the risk and carried two models down on the plane for display.

One of the GF6C electric locomotives used by the BCR on the Tumbler Sub.


Thought I'd spruce up one of the Atlas LNT900 Ford tractors to go along with the Motorways trailer.

I had a chance to visit Ted McLeans Sand Patch. Fantastic Railfanning layout. Makes you want to grab a chair, a beer and just watch trains roll on by.

I'm sorry that my photo has offended forum members and in no way was I trying to make fun of this poor animals death, I was merely sharing an unusual sight that I had seen. Since my photo seems offensive, I ask for the moderators to remove it. Again, I am sorry for any trouble.

Started work on the benchwork for Beatton River siding (south staging).   I would like to wrap 3 tracks around a curve like the prototype location but not sure at this point.   Might be better to wrap a single (or maybe double track siding) around the 'blob' end and then bury 3 straight staging tracks behind dense forest.







Either way I am quite happy with how my hollow core 'blob' benchwork came together.  It is a 24 inch wide slab door with a turn back width of 40 inches.   If I go the 3 track route I should be able to get 18, 17, 16 inch radii in with adequate clearance as well as room for some foreground scenery.

These were done  a couple of weeks ago.
First, a Kato obs. modified slightly to better resemble NP 393.


Next, American Modelbuilders Laserkit sides and American Limited core kit built into IC 11 BR sleeper Benton - but in NP colors (only done once, I think it was 1966)


I used TruColor paints and Microscale decals for both.  Benton has Rapido trucks.  Window tinting done with Rosco gels.
