Searching: D&H SD45 pic

I used to have a picture of one of the D&H SD45s in a transition paint scheme from the Erie Lackawanna. It was a patch job. The maroon band was still there, but the road number on the cab was the D&H 801,2, or 3. The only part of the maroon band that was painted blue was just enough to cover the "Erie Lackawanna" and allow for the yellow Delaware and Hudson.
It was a really neat quick repaint, but I'll be darned if I can find it.
Anyone have one in their collection?
Thanks,
CG

Thanks Brendan, but that wasn't what I was looking for. The pic I am speaking of is not a finished D&H. They had only painted blue over the EL name on the side and added the yellow Delaware and Hudson on the blue. The remainder of the stripe was still maroon. The only part of the pic I can't recall is how they handled the nose logo.

Some nice pics there..
I had not noticed before that 802 and 803 have the L shaped front window.. 801 has the normal front window arrangement.

I went through my EL books quickly but couldn't come up with one.  I believe I've seen the paint scheme you're talking about, but I'll be darned if I recall where I saw it.  CRS disease must be setting in...

In doing more research into the 3 sisters..
In the Morning Sun book D&H in colour vol 3 - the diesel years..
On page 58 there is a picture of 803 freshly painted in EL colours.
Of note the caption says that, by this time the EL had stopped painting the roof of the loco's black and 803 (and presumably her 2 sisters) were painted all gray with the yellow and maroon stripes and the yellow nose and tail.

So if your going to redecal a older Kato SD45 with just Delaware & Hudson and remove the Erie Lackawanna then the roof needs to be painted gray as the model has a black roof.. Although if the unit is weathered then the roof would be fairly dark from the engine grime...

Also of note it looks like in 1972 the3 loco's went to the EL in EL paint but still sporting their D&H numbers.. So perhaps the picture your thinking of has the D&H numbers and Maroon stripe and ELon the side?? In the same book 803 is pictured in EL colours at Lake Champlain. (page 25)

Then on page 85 in April 76 803 is back on the D&H in full EL colours.

I ahve now checked both Vol 3 and Vol 4 from Morning sun and no picsappear with the Maroon stripe with Delaware & Hudson wording.
I
tend to think that the units wore the full EL scheme until they were taken to the workshop and the Blue painted over the Maroon and D&H added then???
Happy to be proven wrong..
I will keep checking my books.

Still searching for pics of the Maroon stripe with Delaware & Hudson..

Found it!...
I found a pic of 803 at Oneonta some time in 1976.
The picture is in "Before Guildford" by preston cook on page 41.
I probably cant scan and post a pic here.. (due to copyright)
The picture is of the E painted out on the nose with the Blue diamond and D&H in the nose and a blue bar on the maroon stripe with the words "Delaware & Hudson" in the blue Bar. The rest of the Maroon stripe is in tact.

PM me if you want me to email you the picture.

If I could find a reletively cheap EL SD45 I would do the same patch job..
The ones the ebay are a bit on the expensive side..!
