I don't think I've seen any discussion about this.

While it's not spectacular, you are getting a bonus container, plus you dont have to shell out the $$ for a Maxi set to get the MOL or Hanjin containers.  Plus they are not charging the ridiculous high prices that Big Brown charges.  I work for them and barely ship with them.

I will be in for maybe 3 or 4 sets of these to build my container collection..

I'm honestly not a huge fan of the Kato intermodal stuff, with the exception of the magnetic stacking feature...

I have a ton of containers and will be patient and wait for Deluxe's cars to arrive later this year..  I actually ran into Dave yesterday and he said it could be September for the Maxi-4.

This sale is a yawner to me. I would like to see another sale of PRR BM70m kits, they sold out in week or so the last time they offered them.

I like Katos Intermodal stuff I like their containers better, I ordered as many Hajin containers as I could and got some MAERSK containers too. They eventually sell the containers separately they even have them listed on their website in you're interested. The thing about intermodal is that you need to have room for that equipment and if youre running an HCD 3 well car sets and youre done.

I'm not into container stuff right now-- but will some day.

And these containers are some of the most common I remember CSX hauling in the 90s.

I saw Hajin and Maersk containers in the past few days on CN trains.   I'll get a few sets of these- the Kato equipment is very nice and the magnetic system works with my homebrew magnets as well, so it is all good.

Only if what they are selling doesn't appeal to you.  I have jumped all over some sales and passed on others.

Yeah, it is a yawner for people modeling steam eras before containerization. For many people modeling contemporary railroads this is a red-hot super-sale!   ;)

Not a yawner necessarily, but I'm not sure it's a good way to sell them.   I am interested in purchasing Maersk containers but the variety does me no good.   If I could buy 3-packs of Maersk, I would be all over it.

I always thought a Kato container swap would be a good idea.  Maybe people would be interested?

Well, I think it's a good idea if not a bit too late for me since I purged most of my excess containers recently.

I was able to get a dealer to sell me an "empty" Maxi-I from the first run, only to find out Kato was running them with Maersk 40fters this time around, which I need.   This after me explicitly asking Kato about doing them, TWICE, and having them tell me, TWICE, not only no, but hell no.   One guy even stated they COULDN'T because Maersk didn't want them leaving the Sealand off.  :RUEffinKiddingMe:  Anyway, I'm guessing they'll offer them in 2-packs at some point maybe, or otherwise I'll buy the Maxi-I set and sell the empty car.

I'm really down to just needing JBH 53's at this point and my intermodal loads are set.

I know lots of people and companies are into "prototypes" but I'd like see some CHINA SHIPPING containers and Tex. TomyTec makes the containers I mentioned but thats in 1:150 scale
