+1 on the large 2 bay air slides (the Delaware Valley model is, well....)

+1 on the ballast cars, something similar to this...

I’m not here to argue

I could list a dozen cars of all types, but the one thing that stands out for me is a 53'6" non-GSC flat car (all wood deck).  Basically the car that Life-Like did in HO.  Right now the only option is the GHQ/Deluxe Pewter kit and the detail on that is crude at best.  This car would also allow for Trailer Flat in several roads that ran well into the 60's.

You're an all wood replacement deck away when Intermountain releases their car.

No it's not, it's metal or cast over the bolsters and couplers.

I'm talking about something like this:

What part of all-wood replacement deck didn't make sense?   :P

Between the 70 ton AAR design Intermountain is doing and the 50 ton AAR design you're showing, it doesn't make sense for someone to tool a new car, just lasercut a replacement deck sans the partial metal deck.

Speaking of Delaware Valley...we could also use an up to date model of the 3 bay cylindrical hopper.

I'd have to look at 14 vs. 15 stake.  I thought I looked at the IM model when it was announced for other purposes and it wasn't great which is why I didn't order any.

Doesn't the Delaware Valley Airslide just need some decent decoration?

Some of my favorite models are the ESM Airslides....

Are the molds still around???  Why does Bowser sit on these cars?

Yeah. He said no Pennsy, but yeah...how about some heavyweight baggage cars? We need the B60 class. Everyone else needs them, too!

Hey Joe, where's the thread for Z scale suggestions? Or don't we count with MTL anymore?

As for N scale how about some Harriman cars or atleast a arched roof matched window or single window coach.

Joe,

It means a lot that you are doing this.

My number one request from MT is FULL round/sold roofs for passenger cars.

Your current cars are mostly good for 20s-say 50s.
But more modern cars all has full A/C ducts.

So since I'm a CSX modeler-- even though your cars are not 100% exact, I want to make some CSX executive cars.  But the heavyweight usually have full roofs.  There are a few exceptions, but not many.

For example, notice how the Washington started out with a "notched" roof" from Chessie days.
http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1244704

But within a few years, CSX rounded everything off to a full round roof with no notches.
http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1248807

I can't be the only one who wants these roofs.

Of course if you want to make some heavyweights with MODERN windows too--- woohoo- I would be in heaven.

Joe,
Did you know that during the transition era dominated by 40' cars,  there were about as many 36' box, stock, and refrigerator cars on American rails as there were fifty footers? How about some 36 footers for variety, you already have the "Bettendorf" underframes. The 36 footers available are generally " old timers" with truss rod underframes, dated or circus style graphics not appropriate for the forties and fifties,  and otherwise of poor quality (your meat reefers excepted). How about a 36' box, stock car, or more recent meat reefers?
Regards, Otto K.
