Bryan-

Two months ago I was skiing with my father when he fell and suffered a concussion that knocked him unconscious.  I vividly remember skiing down to him, lying unresponsive on the side of the run, steeling myself for the possibility that I had just lost my father.  I know that I was very lucky that day to get him back.  You have my deepest sympathies.

Very sorry to hear this Bryan. I wish we could all help you in some way in the days and weeks to come. Its obvious to me that you are strong but remember, real men DO cry. In my years of volunteering at our local hospital in patient care I found that it isn't uncommon for the person who tried to resuscitate the deceased felt guilt that they weren't successful. I hope you don't feel this way and if so I pray you can get past it. It isn't your fault.

My dad passed away on Fathers Day, no less. That was almost 2 years ago.

Sorry for your loss Bryan.  Loosing parents is never easy, mine passed way too young, but they stay close inside even now.  Healing is a slow process, so take things easy.

Bryan,

I am sorry to hear this news. You had mentioned previously that you had relocated across the country to serve as a care giver for your father. I suspect that this had its ups and downs, and I truly hope that your father was able to pass on his appreciation for your sacrifice and service on his behalf. If our kids do this for my wife or I someday I will see it as a sign of  having done a good job as a parent.
