A number of you have extended your condolences about the passing of my Father yesterday.  I want to say thank you.  Between his passing and the fact that I found him and was unable to resuscitate him, my head and heart are spinning with great emotions.  And I have a lot of work ahead in executing his will.  It means a lot when what are usually considered casual internet relations prove to be more and I want to again thank you all for your support.

Bryan,
Casual as we may appear, there's not a one of us who wouldn't drop everything and come right over if we could. Just let us know what we can do to help.

Bryan,
We don't know each other but I have shared the same experience. I lost both parents (at different times) and was on the scene both times.

Hope you're holding up. I'll be praying for you.

For what it's worth , I have been told , and it proved true in my case , it takes 2 years for the process to run its cycle , 2 years of holidays without the family member and your through the worst , providing it was natural causes . Sorry for your loss .

Bryan,

Words cannot explain the sympathy that I feel for you and your family right now.  How tragic to be the one that found your Dad and unable to do anything to save him.  I truly dread the day that I lose either of my parents and that weighs on me heavier and heavier each day as they age.  Assuming that your Dad lived in Maryland, feel free to PM me to let me know if I can help point you in the right direction to begin the awful process of administrating your Dad's estate.

Sincerely,
Dave Foxx

My best to you Bryan and condolences to your family.

It's been 13 years now since my Dad passed, at age 60, just two months before our first daughter was born.
