Somewhere there is a young French girl crying in a corner...

American eyes, American eyes
View the world from American eyes
Bury the past, rob us blind
And leave nothing behind

The majority of unnecessary banter could be eliminated if posters would learn and adhere to writing in a news reporting style - start with the point of who, what, when, and where in the first sentence. Save the why and how, the painful details and conjecture, and their personal life stories for the remainder of their thesis posting.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

?????????????  The car was only "marketed" in CBQ previously (as the "Silver Fountain").  Why do people insist on trying to bring us Burlington fans down from our high on this release.

Yes but it was also run in an assortment of other road names.  ATSF, Pennsy, CP & Southern.......So being able to put lighted tailsigns for those roads would be a good selling point.

Guys, another thread that could have been useful has turned to crap.  Let's please get it together and be worthy of the Railwire's vision of a forum for modelers, not a forum for pissing each other off.

Can't we go back to talking about gun control, gay marriage, and abortion?

Group: my apologies to you all, and especially to Gelboy45 for my post above.  When I responded to his comment, I (obviously) misinterpreted his reference, as I had not gone back and reread the thread carefully.   I easily understand how Ritchie's post can be considered offensive, and shame on me for not catching it.

We have had way too many hot button threads here lately and we should all be adopting a Think Twice, Post Once approach, especially when we're trying to be funny.  This starts with me.

Thanks,
Gary
