Cody brings up an interesting point...were these containers specific to certain classes of gons?

This.

Dave, all the items in your pipeline are sure winners!  I'm glad that I can do my own USPS decals!   I still can't figure out how Atlas fumbled so badly on the spoked drivers for their 4-4-0!  That was so bad, I can't describe it in words!   Your "fix" is a sure hit too. I know that Chris333 was also looking int making these spoke inserts (out of brass).  The rest of your pipeline offerings also look good (but not as interestign to me as the other items I mentioned).  Good job and thanks for listening to the modeler's voices!

The PRR G22B is the correct gon for the DB4 containers and these were generally in dedicated container service.  G22B gons had 46' interior dimension, fixed ends, and flat-bottomed sides with 13 panels.  Dedicated G22Bs were first used in 1930 and continued in use through the 1950s.  In the 1960s, 9 G27A, and 85 G36E gons were converted for dedicated container service.

TrainCat is the only current source for a correct G22B.  Any word if they will be filling more orders?

I have a G22b for these, just haven't built it yet.

The lack of proper decals for said G22b is an issue.

14 of them can fit into a BLMA G31, not sure if they ever did this, though.

Looks good in that G31.

Just received mine today and they are small.  Great little product that was a long time coming.

They are tiny.  I'm surprised at how well they fit into a G31.  Now to figure out an industry on my layout that would  still take deliveries in them.  Maybe some type of metallurgical facility.

I also ordered a bunch of other NZT stuff, really impressed with the detail.  The N scale rule is especially nice.

So, that actually begs the next question. What did the facilities that shipped and received these look like?

Nice. That's vague, yet true, enough to where I could sneak some scenes in any future N-Trak modules I make that aren't UK themed, and even my North Jersey layout.

Ed I'm glad you asked that question.  I also want to know what was normally shipped in them.  I always thought coke to steel makers but someone mentioned they also carried cement.  If they carried both these, what else did they carry?
