Speaking of which ... does anyone know what color the lift hooks, chains and lift rings should be?  I'm guessing the hooks were Pennsy Tuscan along with the containers, but I suspect the chains and rings may have been a different color.

I will make the artwork available to anyone who would like to make them for my cars for others to purchase. Here is the H30/H30A and the G22b. Time is a precious resource right now.

David,
Now that we're 9 pages in - are you going to do these as direct sales or through you normal distribution channels?

A beautiful model here http://www.kohs.com/PRR%20G22b%20Pages/G22b%20Update.html which you have probably seen.
Given how much time and effort thay put in, the painting might be considered prototypical?
Cheers,

It looks like I have something I 100% have to seek out DKS for...
Plus and excuse to buy something from TrainCat...

Great works DKS, now my pennsy mixed trains will have more cars that aren't 40' boxcars... sometime in the near future...

Sure, but you have to get in line.  :D
Having  a vector-based Corel Draw 10 artwork could buy you a pass to the front part of the line.  Otherwise, I would need to find TrueType fonts which are close enough to work. Or, if I had to vectorize the drawing with auto-trace, then clean it up, that is a larger project.  I would also need some accurate dimensions or drawings of the car itself (so I can make the decal fit properly.)  Even a scan of the model car's side, scanned in 1:1 scale, (stored in a GIF, TIF or PNG format) would be helpful.

EDIT: Looks   like Bob offered to provide artwork for the decals. I can make some (for the local  :ashat: ) but I can't promise to run 100s of them.

Having a flashback to 2010:

I can scan the cars, but I'm pretty sure Bob's artworks is right over the etching artwork.

That is a flashback Chris!  Way before I joined TRW.

As I mentioned, I can do few sets. If you guys need a larger run, there are plenty of custom decal makers who use Alps.  Even Kadee does them.  Having the artwork already done saves quite a bit on the cost.

For a list of custom decal makers see http://robdebie.home.xs4all.nl/models/decals.htm (go to the Custom decal companies section half way down the page)
