Why?  Try the NWSL ones . . .  8)

Tim

..What can I say...  I got a good deal on the Kato wheels for my SD40-2s...    The Atlas RS-11 trucks have no holes for the Kato wheel axle points to sit in.  Hence the drilling.. and frustration..

Do you know the part # for the NWSL ones by chance?

Wouldn't snipping off the axe points be an easy option?

More progress on Lewistown station. Just the platform and canopies left.

I can't wait to see this installed in its permanent home!

Since my steam loco project is done, I've gotten back to work on the layout.  I made a push on the center section at the end of the main aisle.  Lots of trees, brush along the right-of-way, ballast, and rail blackening.  I poured another Envirotex layer into the pond in the back.   Hooray for Silflor tufts, Heki "Wildgras", and Supertrees.

There is a set specifically for those locomotives - #7441-4 for Atlas/Kato RS-3 and RS-11.

It's from GHQ.  And as per usual, Bill makes it look like a million bucks.

Thanks to modeler extraordinare M.C. Fujiwara I was able to "pimp" my Canadian National RDC1 a bit.....

The little scale chains across the door really adds to the look. I also added an engineer (who seems to be hiding in this pic) and window shades... but as happens so often in close up's I now notice that I need to paint the seats...sigh.

Thanks M.C. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

No prob, Mike!
Without that little chain, the whole project would look like crap  :D

Wow, so much good stuff this week!
Me, I was busy at a show running trains  :scared:

Here it is, in all 10 minutes of it's 1080p glory: the Silicon Valley Free-moN layout at the Richmond, CA Great Train Expo, January 12 & 13, 2013.

Can't wait for Nils to finish his 8'+ "Bridge O' Wonder" module!
Even after couple months' work it's very nice & dramatic :D

We had only about 1/2 our members and modules, so if you come to the World's Greatest Hobby show in San Mateo, CA March 2 & 3, 2013 you should see SVFMN in all of it's full-length glory  8)

Thanks for looking.
