Meh.  Joe, you and I know all Canadian equipment looks the same...  CP/CN, whatever.  Pud will be happy with Canadian Whichever on a Tuscan PRR diner.

That's going to look really nice Joe.  I'm no expert on these cars, but I see the pics you posted show two versions.  The last pic reveals a fifth support beam set as opposed to just four.  Which version will the model be?

And when can we expect to see those 100 ton trucks sold separately?  I could use quite a few. 8)

------------------> And when will we be able to purchase those business car roofs separately too??

Interesting car and you really nailed the doors!  :D

Railwire quote of the month.

Also, cool. I don't need any, but it's definitely something not seen before, and I bet you guys can do an awesome job with them.

Now, quick, lets get the pool going on what Skibbe's going to crap on them about. We can all kick in and split the winnings with Joe's beer fund.

My bet? Stake variations.

Oh my wounds...... the Railwire wit is so sharp you could carve a 1:160 pumpkin with it......  :D

Joe; How are you achieving enough weight with this model; metal frame ? Will empty load tracking be an issue ?
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

It's all speculation until the model comes out.  But I'm going to bet ride height.  Looking at the prototype, and knowing what flange height MTL has to clear, it's going to be a heck of a trick!

I like playing with house money.   :)

Seriously though, Joe says it's going to be right so I'm looking forward to seeing how they solved the problem.

I won't pretend to know diddily about engineering a plastic model of a freight car, but I think it'll be a heck of a feat to get both body-mount couplers and correct ride height on that car and still get the car to run on the usual fairly tight curves that MT seems to want their cars to be compatible with.  The trucks appear to be very close to the ends of the car, leaving little room for the truck to rotate without hitting the couple box.  And the car body over the trucks seems very thin for a flangeway to be 'cut' into.

Not pooping on MT at all.   It'll be awesome if they can do it, and I'll be in for more than a (short) train's worth regardless because I'm just not that picky.  But I'm trying to keep my own expectations in check.

OOH YEAH! BUSINESS CAR ROOFS! I could use a few of those! Specifically, one.

I'm also stoked he gave a shout out to us about the diner. That was the first thing I thought of and most certainally would have been the first response had he not told us.  :D
