More (re)work on the Milwaukee Erie built.
I'm finally happy with the class light housings after the third try.
I also shortened the numberboards, moved the headlight and mounted a Z scale coupler in the pilot.
Wire grabs, steps and piping detail are next.

Where did you get those? I was bummed to hear that IM cancelled the new run. I'd like to get hold of some REA X29's.

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

I wonder if either the Erie mod or the chopped rod influenced the other .

I was wondering why the windows were like that myself.

And will the get some etched grills on the nose?

....if Jim paints flames on the side of the Erie built and/or adds fuzzy dice I'm out of here................ :D
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

The early production Eries had the hot rod rectangular windshields and a step in the cab roof. I think they just look mean. The shell is actually for the later ones but hey, they ain't made nothin' that can't be modified right?
Crap, MT beat me to the flames and I think Sunrise did fuzzy dice at one time in N but since they're gone looks like I'm outa luck there as well, oh darn!.  :D
This one is going to get the stainless grille treatment too.

Andy  BCRail_FSJ,

Would you please explain your use of Pledge to make your loco windows?  I have no clue how you would do this.

Not a steam expert, but that looks like a short wheelbase steamer that could benefit from more pickups .. especially across turnouts

I have one of these. Definitely give the tender all-wheel pickup. Like most classic brass locos, the drivers only pick up one pole, while the tender picks up the other. Not the best way of doing things.

Here's mine, while it was still in one piece...
