Richie, yes, I just haven't located the decals yet (I am chasing a lead) or made them (which will be what I do if
my lead falls through).  Scroll back up to where I posted this latest batch of photos of the painted model,

Max, what can I say, that baby turned out first class.  I love the photos on the trestle over the meadow and the ones below it.  That scene is awesome. 

Ok so out with it, how many passenger cars will she pull?    Just curious...

... and in answer to your question.... this is not a stump puller, but it's okay.
It pulls an honest 6 80' passenger cars on level track, including over turnouts and curves, and they are not all Kato super-free-rolling cars.  Some are Con-Cors with changed out wheelsets, one is a Rapido, 2 are Walthers.    It can almost do 7, but not without occasional slipping.
Up the curved 1.7% grade, it can do 4.     It's plenty for what I want to use the engine for.

Alright folks, here it is.  The end of the line.  The project is finished at last!

The project lasted from 9/1/2012 - 12/20/2012.
I decided to use #603 instead of 604 just this past week,
after looking at more photos and deciding 603 was closer to what I built, and #603 was one of the last
to be scrapped (in 1949) so it fits my 1950s theme the closest.

The decals were gifted to me by a donor who wishes to remain anonymous.
I added cab shades and some light gray and white weathering powder.

And after looking at photos, it's clear that the smokebox was indeed a different color, so I used NeoLube
on mine.

I'm not the only one that does that.  Tony uses it, and I'm sure others who I have forgotten (and I apologize). 
It's amazing stuff.
And it's not just the finish it provides, it's the way it goes on.  Because it's graphite suspended in alcohol,
it really "washes" on over the black paint, so you can brush paint it and it goes on as thin as alcohol, and never
leaves a brush mark.  Neolube is my friend.
