Kato GG1 new Paint at NMRA Show

Kato showed two new painted GG1 at the NMRA show. One is the light blue AMERICAN RAILROADS 1869/1969 with new raised air intakes and foot rest slots. And a silver Pennsylvania RR with red single stripe. Very cool  8) 8) 8) Rich

Thanks.  They weren't there the first time I reviewed the model160 post.


ARRGH!  The silver G scheme is wrong!  Wrong color on the stripe, wrong font size on the PENNSYLVANIA, wrong font on the numbers!   :facepalm:

To me it appears to be custom work. Maybe its the light, the raised grills on left end of the model are slightly higher than those on the right. Additionally the grills on the left lean forward while the right grills are vertical.

I think the raised grilles are simply decals (or at least that is what I think I see in those photos).
