@BC6, I notice a setting of con: 819 on the photo of the NCE control unit.  I am puzzled because mine says consist number are between 112 and 127.   I am doing n-scale.

Love the smell of freshly cut wood and cork roadbed.

I started the first Woodbury module and am experimenting with the module height.
Here are the first construction photos with target prototype locations (i.e. looking at Woodbury from the north and south):

Glad to see that someone is taking a hearty interest in recreating Woodbury as it was back in the heyday.

Can't wait to see how shiny your diamond turns out.

Now that i think of it, the old station is some from of eatery... i have yet to sample their meaty fair (or anything else for that matter) but it might be a worthwhile stop sometime.

Been slowly working on my "Southermost module," loosely representing the CP/NS Ameriport in South Philadelphia (quite a bit of artist's license here). Snow has been added, as well as some urban vegetation and the first backdrop photos and paint are on as well:

My best,

Jan

Groovy work, fellows!
Jan: I always get the chills when I see your work.  :D
Great texture with the snow!

Spent the last couple weeks building an 8" manual turntable for my Free-moN staging yard:

Here's a short video of it in operation:

The turntable uses a 1/4" mono audio jack as pivot and juice feeder, but relies on washers under the ends of the bridge to ride smooth on the pit rail to provide stability and accurate alignment.
Digitrax AR1 for autoreversing (works great).

Also created a play-by-play "How To" in the "Tips & Tutorials" section of my website.
http://www.yardgoatlayoutdesign.com/24.html
Any / all feedback appreciated!

Also started detailing and installing the tanks on the other staging yard section:

Gotta love ABS caps for cheap tanks.
Still need to weather and lay down the gravel around them.

Keep up the amazing modeling: Weekend Update is always a great inspiration!
Have a great weekend.

Liking the turntable. What are you using for the operating mech under the module? just a crank and some gears or something a little more complex?

Dupont now offer a white InkJet ink.

Google Dupont White Ink.

I did a search for this white:  Google Dupont White Ink

The only thing I could find is white ink designed for textile printing like on "T" shirts.
Couldn't find anything for plain Ink Jet printers.
Is this what you were referring to?

The purpose of this beastie is to be able to print images directly onto 3-D objects, such as freight cars, buildings, or other objects that would otherwise jam the paper tray. Largest object capacity: 3 x 8 x 10 inches.

Impressive!  So in theory, could you print say graffiti onto the side of a freight car?   Even one with raised ribbing?

And no, it will not print white.

But could you take an all-white car and print a complete photo image onto the side of it?

We are indeed. Are you a local?

Not local ...  we now live in San Diego, but my wife grew up in Wenonah NJ and went to Woodbury High School.  I've always been closet fan of the PRSL.

That looks great MC!

I spent a good amount of the day clearing and organizing stuff around the layout. Tomorrow I'll probably do much of the same. I'm hoping the remaining C55 turnouts at MB Klein will stay until I get paid next week.

Exactly.

But could you take an all-white car and print a complete photo image onto the side of it?

In theory you could do this, but the tough parts are the ends, since the car won't fit endwise, and I can't quite envision being able to paint the ends with an exact match. A much better approach: cut a mask that matches the outline of the band of graff, and spray/airbrush this area white. Now send it through the printer.
