I thought they were out of business . . .

You thought correctly - they seem to be gone (for few years now).
. . . 42 . . .

More work at Gills.

Built some walkways for the bridge. T'was a bit delicate, gluing them together. T'was a bit difficult, gluing them to the bridge. (Very scarry for this all hallow's eve  :scared:) They turned out O.K., I guess. The single platform is an operator's platform (the bridge is opened by "apponitment only" I hear). I'll have to fashion some kind of control box for the operator.

The pictures are a bit fuzzy. I'll try to use a faster shutter speed next time, but you get the idea. Next, more wood & railwork for the bridge, and more layers for the "berm" in the river...

Ya know, the problem with not studying the prototype picture first is...

Oh well, it was nice knowing all of you. I will miss you all here on the wire...  :scared:

Built a couple lumber racks for my simulation of Torborg's lumber in Waupaca. Yes, that the place's real name.

Now to paint them...

That's sweet.  Any plans or dimensions?  I need something similar for a machine shop/steel fabricator I'm working on.

Nothing so grandiose I'm afraid. I just used my memory of having worked in places that use such structures. I adjusted the size to fit my space. I'm sure whatever you come up with will be just fine.

I got some delicate painting done this week. I like how the orange makes the beams "pop" a bit. The real ones I worked on and around were painted this color.

Not such a great job painting this one, but I will be placing it towards the back:

I think I am finished with this project. Its at least 50% prototypical too. Not sure it really does justice to the prototype, but it'll work. I guess.

And I thought I was modeling trains when I started all this...

A little weathering...

Now, what else does it need? Are there piles of rocks on the inside?

Installed some of those flashy thingys for the Shakey Lake Road's crossing. Now to ballast around them.

Are those the new NJ's with LED's?  I am looking at a pair of those for one of my crossings.  How are you activating them?
