CMW has their second survey posted, which is more focused based on the answers received in the first survey.  Everyone who has an interest in the future of N scale vehicles should partake.

All they want is your name and an email address.....not that different than The Railwire. I also have another gmail account for potential spam and you can always make up a new name.
I would also encourage people to take the survey. They mention low cost kits as a possibility ($8-10 for three vehicles) and I would love to see that happen.

I told them I want all of their models to represent everything I need, they must be rendered flawlessly in every detail, and the should be not only factory assembled and decorated, but they should have someone come to my house to place them on my layout for me.  Of course, I would direct them in how to place them, because I'm a very creative person.  Naturally, this should all be available in endless supply at my local WalMart, and at 1972 prices.

Done. I love the idea of pre-painted, but unassembled models. Needing to fill a shipping lot of an assembly plant with cars, that seems a fair compromise between cost and labour.

Farm vehicles is of interest to me, glad it was included.

That option #2 with pre-painted but unassebled kits may not have worked for Intermountain, but I think it has a future here.

I really think they need to go big and go modern. A crown Vic with Police/FireTaxi options and different light packages would be perfect. Just think: State Series, City Series, Generic paint schemes and a civillian version with very little change in tooling.

I also think they have an idea with construction equipment, which I mentioned several times in my previous  survey. A Volvo, New Holland/Case, or even one of the Japanese brand license are pretty easy to obtain. Hell International had dozers and they already have that license.

What were you guys looking for?

I model transition era through 1956.  I'll buy any well-detailed and accurate vehicle of that era.  That's why I have a LOT of CMW vehicles on my layout.  I really like concept #2.  It has always been irritating to me to have to buy two identical vehicles at the same time.  Would much prefer two different cars of the same era, or even two of the same make and model, but at least different colors.

Said it before and I'll say it again....I need automobiles for blue color workers. No sports car or muscle  cars. No offense to others, but I don't need any more police cars, or fire trucks, or taxis, or buses. I would guess that they are already over-represented in the offerings to date relative to their actual proportion.
