Reset your watch Bob.  The announcement was supposed to be made on 3/15, today is 3/14 (a.k.a pi day, 3.14, for the geeks among us).

But I guess we know that it's a PD3000 already.

Well, it's 3/15 SOMEWHERE right now, inquiring minds want to know!

The photographer is the clue. Googled in the right way, it leads one to the Railyard PD-3000.

I'm still not convenced its a PD3K. I don't see any shading on the walkway that you would expect to between the wide area over the body and thin area over the overhang/crossover.

Still hoping for an airslide, but either way, a new body style is welcomed. And it's true what they say, one can never have too many covered hoppers.

Thanks Jason.  Anything is possible, but each project requires all-new tooling and must be viewed as an entirely new project.  We have a lot more in the works...

Well, maybe not the PD-3000 I was hoping for, but I'm still going to be in for four in UP. Definitely an iconic 1960s car. However...

Craig, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not produce these with the yellow dot (U1) stencil, as indicated on your artwork. PLEASE! The U1 dots appeared in 1978, pretty much $#!+canning any thought of putting these on my late-'60s layout unmolested. One can easily ADD the dot stencil if modeling the '80s. Same goes for the COTS stencil - those started in 1972.
