John, the ends were black on the 'Pine Tree' cars... roof most likely silver. IMO, the epitome of CP boxcar images.

I need to block out all the windows, so any of "youse" who dont plan on using the blanks from your Middlesex Mfg kit, I'll take em as it makes this easier.

I think many of us would like more. Maybe someone can design one as a shapeways part? I can't, I don't know CAD....

I see they also have a "HO Na-Ro" (HO narrow) version that runs on 9mm track.
Wonder if I could get just the 0-4-0 mech for a tank project. Hmm...

I just need to fabricate the main girder plates for the outside frame, so it looks a little more substantial...

The pick-ups are pretty good. You see the brass rings on either side of the axle gears. They rub against a spring loaded etched plate. I was running laps at 1.5volts with no stalls. I was surprised for something with such a high gear ratio.

Lee, you read my mind needing more "substance" to your bridge.  Before I even read your comment, I was thinking "how is that thing supporting those trucks??"  Also, good job getting the yellow paint stripe on the interior of the roadway, next to the barrier.  That seems to be commonly overlooked...

The only thing that sticks out to me, is the two opposing light sources. Otherwise this is a really neat shot with the bright headlight, and that dusk light hitting off the chrome bumper.

It might be my colorblindness, but I am not seeing the characteristics of the 2 light sources in the picture.
Would you enlighten me, please, on how it shows up in the picture?

That colour is much more like it. The ends were most definately black (as they were on all the '67 colourful script schemes), and the sides were most definately a jade colour; not the primary green used on the later "MultiMark" cars.

Thanks, Chuck.  The fun part was the center railing, which is some Gold Medal Models brass ladders sandwiched between two slices of styrene...

I didn't steal nuttin... Rix sells the railings separate from the bridge kits.  To do that bridge with Rix products would have set me back around $100...  I used an old plastic vertical blind for the roadway, some square basswood for the verticals, and I'm using Evergreen I-beams and some other bits to do the super structure.

Next trick is figuring out how to build about 20 street lights for it.
