Weekend Update 2/12/12

Two Atlas C40-8 mechs + Undec C40-8W shells + paint/decals + couple of spare hours = Two more Leaser units for the FCL.

The two locos here were done last October.  I just never got to post photos of them.

The third members of the FCN family of Railways.   The (Port) Edwards and Northern. 


Roster only consists of One B23ES7 and a RSB (Road Switcher Booster) unit.

Have been working on scenery on the Searsport Line the past week using a bunch of stuff I got from scenic express at Springfield.

Scottl - ya, there are "Blue" stripes on the nose.  Just like their FCN and FGEN cousins.

Photos always seem to amplify the defects in workmanship, and it's hard to find problems with your work, Mark. I suspect either you're one of the most talented modelers out there OR you have invented a shrink ray for scenery. Either way, wow!

Not too much for me this weekend. I worked some more on my Associated Grocers of New England warehouse. I added windows and also started working on adding a loading dock and the shelter for it.




I also started working on Amoskeag Cold Storage. I need to block out all the windows, so any of "youse" who dont plan on using the blanks from your Middlesex Mfg kit, I'll take em as it makes this easier.

Wow are the colours on that CP box off! (These were NOT the bright "Action Green")

The only thing that sticks out to me, is the two opposing light sources. Otherwise this is a really neat shot with the bright headlight, and that dusk light hitting off the chrome bumper.

Hey S, thanks!  That was a quick grab with my iPhone, loaded directly to the Juniata Division's Facebook page.  But that's a very good point regarding conflicting light sources.

Truth be told the green is a bit bright but not too far off the as painted colour. The paint's pigments really kicked out in sun and it went all "blue-green".....

Chris/Pud I think the car looks a little brighter in the photo than seeing it in person but not much. Question for you guys, in Chris's photo the end looks black but I'm guessing thats just the lighting and did they have silver roofs. Also noticed the sill is black were they all that way, may have to paint that.
