Thought I was safe. Sign me up for a PC car...
Dave,The draft gear box itself actually is shorter than it should be to compensate for the MTL coupler heads. I think I reached a good compromise with keeping the coupler face distance correct and providing a good simulated extended cushioned underframe draft gear box. And if we are counting rivets - we know the dimensions of the coupler box are enlarged to compensate for the coupler mechanism. Originally I had designed it extended to the full prototypical distance and it looked horrible, even though the coupler box dimensions are the smallest in N scale presently. But compensating for the MTL coupler length was a blessing in disguise, as it made the draft gear box more acceptable.
Really nice looking cars Bryan, looking forward to acquiring some of them. Whose layout was the video shot on, really nice looking! Win! Win! Win! No whining allowed!
one module that is being incorporated into a layout empire
At least you're safe until summer!
Nooooooooo I may not be able to maintain a steely resolve to only buy one...
Hotness.I cant wait to get a LV car so I can do the CR paintout weathered beast that I was doing on my HO Rail Yard Models X58. Modeltrainsweathered.com had found a picture of a LV paintout in 1996 for their group weathering/build they had back in 2007.
Just be more patient and wait for it to appear as a stock item. It's coming ...
Man...and if I wait for it as a SMS car I wont have to do any modeling!
