Dave,

The draft gear box itself actually is shorter than it should be to compensate for the MTL coupler heads.  I think I reached a good compromise with keeping the coupler face distance correct and providing a good simulated extended cushioned underframe draft gear box.  And if we are counting rivets - we know the dimensions of the coupler box are enlarged to compensate for the coupler mechanism.  Originally I had designed it extended to the full prototypical distance and it looked horrible, even though the coupler box dimensions are the smallest in N scale presently.  But compensating for the MTL coupler length was a blessing in disguise, as it made the draft gear box more acceptable.

Thanks for the information Bryan. I guess I will follow through with my pre-order!  ;)
I love the products that you are producing.

Best wishes, Dave

Really nice looking cars Bryan, looking forward to acquiring some of them. Whose layout was the video shot on, really nice looking!
Win! Win! Win! No whining allowed!

It was filmed on four different venues - three photo/video modules and one module that is being incorporated into a layout empire.  Credited acknowledgements are listed at the end of the video.

The cars look excellent.  As I said before, I cannot believe this signature 50' PRR/PC/CR car will be a reality in N scale before the end of winter.  RTR in N before HO is just amazing.  I have all eight preordered at BLW, and I am really looking forward to release two with its Conrail and Penn Central goodness.  My Con Cor stand ins are getting ready to occupy the storage tracks.

Hotness.

I cant wait to get a LV car so I can do the CR paintout weathered beast that I was doing on my HO Rail Yard Models X58. Modeltrainsweathered.com had found a picture of a LV paintout in 1996 for their group weathering/build they had back in 2007.

Only a couple of PCs to worry about in Round 2.  At least the red "P" version won't be until later on!  They will be spaced out to be a little easier on Mr. Wallet.  :)

Just be more patient and wait for it to appear as a stock item.  It's coming ...  8)

It's everything I can muster to pace myself, lest I have an entire roster of only X58s.

This is a car that deserved to be done right, and Bryan, you were the man to pull it off with authori-tai.  Each release from ESM sets a new standard of excellence.  I can't imagine what's next!  Either way, NOW is the Renaissance of N scale, and we are privileged to share the Railwire with two of the vanguard of the same (Bryan and Craig).

Very well done Bryan.  The detailed prototype info supplied with the car raises the bar too.
Now to get busy working on that scale sized ACI plate reader.   :D
