Walthers is tanking in the N scale department. Not long ago it promised big things in the N scale structure category and, well, you can see it's not making the muster.

FVM keeps chugging along with releases! Nice to see the Bachmann NE caboose and the RS3; now that it's moving out of the toy market, maybe it will consider getting a less toyish website. The BLMA late PRR gons are bound for my roster, definitely.

Wishful thinking for Con-Cor to do the Electroliner in N, I guess. The Comet looks nice but the price is a bit obtuse. Maybe FVM would consider the Electroliner? It kinda fits in with the whole Milwaukee thing...

The Bachmann GP7 looks good so I picked one of the Chessie's up  so I'm sure the RS3 will be good I think that Bachmann could become a formidable competitor to other mfgs in the locomotive catagory if they keep improving. Also can't wait for the new BLMA stuff!! Plenty of cool stuff coming out.

This month's issue of MR drops another bomb...

NJ International is doing their PRR position light signals with scale heads/masts and LEDs, pre-wired and RTR for MSRP of $49.95.

I have some Alkem signals I've still not wired but these will be very tempting of I can get at a discount.  I'm lazy when it comes to wiring.

Wow!  I hear ya on the wiring thing.  Count me in for getting some of those.

The Bachmann RS-3 is an interesting release, but I have to wonder how they could release a publicity photograph of a new model with the fuel tank on backwards . . .

Oh yeah, that caboose looks great.  Much finer detail and rivets than the old LL body.  And the steps look much better as well!!!

Kudos and thank you to Craig at BLMA for producing the ACF gon in Conrail.  I need a ton since gondolas were second only to hoppers on the Conrail lines in and around Pittsburgh.  The F89J's in a 70's era paint job are also most welcome.  The Atlas MiddleSex manfacturing plant will be a must for me too.  Try as I may, I cannot curtail my freight car purchases.  There is too much good stuff coming out that fits my 1984 Conrail era.  Thank you.

I got the RP's in too late to get them in the NTS preview, but Cory got some pics today for the post convention news. Just for a teaser, here is a preview of our first RTR car being produced. Flexi-Fan carriers in both Mark III and Mark IV.

I think that's an HO model pictured.  Let's hope it looks that good!

And that EM-1 better make it to this scale!!!

I'm salivating since CB&Q, IC and MILW used them. That being said I'm not up on my Flexi-Van history, what's the diff between these two and the 1 and 2?

Now where can we get a selection of containers to go with?
