Interesting Morning Sun Books coming this Spring

Maybe we're all getting a little older, but come May MSB is doing Conrail in Color V1 1976-79. That should be interesting. Second Tank Car book coming at same time.

Finally! They've pretty much ignored CR outside of the colour guide until now, but this will be a great book. They could probably do Conrail in Color 1976-79 V2 & V3 as well... and still have material for a V4. Those years were probably some of the more interesting of all the diesel era, and certainly one of the more complicated mergers.

I just bit on a copy of Scott Hartly's CR V1 1976-82 to join V2 1983-90 that has long been longing for a CR companion (outside of the Withers books and CR Commodities)... and now an MSB to join the party.

I'm not holding up any hopes for a Vol 2.... remember these are the guys that gave us the Conrail Freight Car Guide Vol 1 and never came out with vol 2.

Volume II is already underway. It will address the 1980's. I have heard nothing about a potential Volume III, however, which would be the wide-nose, Conrail Quality, AC era.

I will be in for this Conrail book too.  I am glad to hear a second volume is in the works.  I have been purchasing a lot of Morning Sun books lately since the PRR facilities volumes have been dealing with the Pittsburgh Line from Banks to Beaver Falls in the last four volumes.  There have been a decent amount on Conrail photos in those books (volumes 8 to 11) which I have enjoyed. They have been great.  The Penn Central in color series has also been good reading. Thanks.

Me too, the first tank car book was awesome. I wonder how many volumes could a series on Grain Hoppers fill?

Since MSB owns the rights to the Gulash photo collection. One might expect that just about every volume could have some. However, there are many good photographers out there who will b e featured alongside Emery. Good Company!

So it's the publishing company who should be held accountable when an individual declines to author a second volume in a book series?  ???
