If the body on the 70 tonner is as good a sthe 45 tonner was, I may have to get one for the refinery.

Ouch, that tender... otherwise, not too bad looking.

I'm highly impressed by the Peter Witt Streetcar, I will be getting two of them for my BTCo. interests! Makes me wonder with this new chassis will they be upgrading the current PCC trolley? Lets hope!

The GP-7 has piqued my interest. I do not see needle point pickups, however it looks like the fuel tank is split much like a Trainman GP-15. The shell has it's positives for detailing, the sill and walkway are one piece and the hood lacks the normal stirrups which get removed in detailing.

They show decoders there with 128 speed step control, this also makes me wonder about the decoders in the new items if they'll be the 28 speed step junk, or will be 128.

7:06 pm EST - and nothing since yesterday.  Dozens upon dozens of HO scale reports. Amazing!

Next year can we all chip in and send a Railwire person to the NTS to report back to us?

I mean frankly, I have no confidence we will ever get a complete report. Certainly not from the "mainstream" joke of a "media" that covers the hobby. And even from great folks who take the time to post - you always see the "well there were some diesels there that I wasn't interested in so I passed by it".

Seriously what a total WASTE for manufacturers to participate if they don't let everyone know what they are doing.  When I worked for HP and did tradeshows I spent 90% of my time with the press and bloggers because the POINT is to get the word out, not sit around on your butt on the floor.

Another big time joke - no wonder this industry is in such pathetic shape.

I chip in to Chuck often enough , maybe Chuck could bring somebody to watch his table if he has one , and be our mole . Pass the info to a Mule to report it here under a false name .

Here's photos of the test N scale Hiawatha shells, these pictures were made in Des Plaines Hobbies on Monday July 12, 2010:

For comparison, here's the HO Hiawatha test shots:

Hope this helps!

I would live to see the chassis and running gear without the shell .

Got to check out the 70 tonner and the NN3 guys who do C&C need to brush up on their frame narrowing technique.  Nice work...the PW trolley is very nice as well.

Hm.  I have absolutely zero use for one, but those 70-tonners do look pretty nice.  Even the handrails look better than usual for our scale.

Both a 70-tonner and a 4-6-0?  I'm giddy.  News of the latter already has me revisiting my copy of "Mixed Train Daily".  Yes, the tender is a beast, but probably not an insurmountable issue.
