This will be sooo HAWT. Between this and the Intermountain R-70-20, 2011 could be the year of the mech reefer (at least for UP modellers...). Hopefully the BNSF popsicles will follow....

Luckly, UP sends a few of these up the Valley...

Now, BNSF is another matter. Instead of 6 numbers, 24 would be better...

Congratulations to Bachmann on the 70-Ton diesel announcement.  It is a locomotive waiting to be done in N Scale and is a logical next step after the 55 Ton.

If that 4-6-0 is real and it follows their HO model I will kiss the Bach-man...

So Bachmann announced a single truck Birney in HO, and the Peter Witt's in N. Does this mean Birney's may follow in N next year?

Unrelated to N but I know the HO guys should like this. I skipped over it the first time reading the MR report.

Bachmann is aparently bringing back their City Building Series. They command top dollar on Ebay when they show up. I remember the article in MR about Rod Stewarts layout that he would specifically go hobby shopping when on tour looking for out of the way shops that would still have some of those buildings to create his skyscrapers.

I see this too:
"Heavyweight 70-foot baggage-express cars"
Wonder what they look like.

The Bachmann HO 4-6-0 was based on the Ma & Pa 4-6-0's, but some how I bet they to the larger version...  I just printed out the Ma & Pa drawings to N scale and sat a 44T sized motor on them. It can be done inside the cab. We'll see.

In the July -August NSR there is a picture of the 3d drawing. Love the schemes. Hope they do the Tri-color C&O. Central of Georgia wioll sell well too.

Have no need to the BLMA Reefer, but glad for those of you wanting one.

The announcements may not be over yet. We might get another bone or two.

Well this is more than I expected - wow Bachmann !!!

The 4-6-0 is so needed it is nuts - can't wait to get off a cottage bound Blackberry and on to a computer to see what they got.

The 70 tonner is a gift for us PGE types and for many others.

Bachmann's FM unit is a tough little unit and looks good - if their geep is of the same quality, and as bit quieter then they will make a splash....
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

I just hope that con cor does away with those nasty swinging trucks. UGH! If they do turn out nice, at least make it an easy 8 pin plug.

Though this makes me wonder... is con cor quietly entering back into the model business more aggressively? Maybe Charlie may know whats coming down the pipe line.

Also, if those Bachmann hoppers are halfway decent, it would be great to get a bunch of those cheap for us "unit ntrakers" runners. I have some new GEVO's that are itching to pull a nice long train.
