Factory Direct Trains Sale

I received an e-mail today for a very good sale at "Factory Direct Trains"! I picked up another EMD E8A with sound/decoder for $81!  I have one of these already and it sounds great. Just thought I would pass this along, here is the link: http://factorydirecttrains.com/pcmemde8nscale.aspx?utm_source=delivra&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=nclearance

Can the Kato shell be easily swapped onto the PCM chassis?

Thanks.
Best regards,

Roger

How do the E8/9's run? Is the sound worth the extra cost?
Welcome to Ontario... we've got a tax for that.

Hi Roger,

No, I don't believe the shell from the Kato will work on the PCM line. I think the PCM frame is longer.

I have 2 of the first generation PCM E7's and 1 of the 2nd generation (the one that is on sale) and they all run excellent, have not had any issues! I do want to mention the sound is much better in the second generation.

Thanks,
Chuck
