I have a friend who was an engineer on the PRR, PC & CR from '55 to '97 and he's mentioned several times that it wasn't coincidental that there were many bars located near where railroad workers worked... And if the city allowed strip clubs, I'm pretty sure I know where they would be located too.  ;)

There's a reason why Nightshift (http://baltimore.citysearch.com/profile/4990127/baltimore_md/night_shift.html, http://www.bing.com/maps/?v=2&cp=qjbtvc8mmg84&scene=31902016&lvl=2&sty=b&ss=yp.night%20shift~pg.1~rad.0,0520383360623585) is going to end up on the layout.

I really wanted a nice green scenic area to model. According to this description I picked a real shocka   :P
Might have to do abit more research before I make my final choice

Valley Jct.

Railroads: A&S,TRRA,MRS,UP,KCS

Train Freq: Constant

Safety: Poor

Radio Freq: 160.770(A&S) 160.335(A&S Gateway Yard) 160.500(TRRA) 161.550(UP) 161.460(KCS)

Layout: Four lines converge here at the southwest corner of Alton & Southern's huge Gateway Yard in East St. Louis. There are constantly trains coming, going, or waiting to pass through. This is a pretty rough neighborhood and is best visited in a group during daylight hours.
