If you want a starting point for a PRR D16sb (who doesn't? ;D) you need to go for the NYC version; it has the correct cylinders.

But, I've heard these little guys aren't great pullers.  Nonetheless, if I hadn't just $hat $280+ on a 2-8-8-2 I would be right there with ya.

Once you've removed the phallic bodyshell, you can do decent things with the chassis though, Royal Hudson at least - and preferably not using the turd that is the Del Prado model.

They are good running little loco's. As is, they pull maybe 6-8 cars on level, grades are a different story. You can get a traction tire from the Pacific and make it pull quite well. Also replace the tender trucks with trucks from Kato or Bachmann with all wheel pickup and you have a champ.

BLW is dumping them because MP has a new batch coming for Xmas, all with traction tires installed and some improvements, but they won't say just what the improvements are.
