I love the grass and the dirt path from the road the best . Over all doesn't even look like N Scale . On that path though , wouldn't there be something near the track or a continuation of the path past the track to warrant the repeated foot steps . Maybe an electrical cabinet or telephone pole .

There are still many many details such as poles and other scenic details that need to be added, but are being held off on right this moment so that I can work on some parts towards the background and not destroy the stuff up front.

Ian, did you have any challenges doing the static grass this time of year?  Supposedly it applies better in humid weather, but your grass looks excellent for being applied now.

No issues that I have seen. I've used it in the summer and winter with no noticeable difference. The layout room does have a dehumidifier so humidity has not really been an issue in the room.

Actually. Now that I think about it, screw the JMRI http stuff, just open the machine up to Remote Desktop, and we're in business!

Is there a good thread somewhere on static grass?  Every time I see pics like this I have all these questions and figure I'll search on it but I've not had good luck coming up with the "killer post".

Sorry about the hijack, but when you said attaboy's were off-limits, that tied my hands on what I could do here.

The dispatch area (which also doubles as my office) will have the dispatch computer and 2 23" widescreen monitors. The dispatch software is from Railroad & Co., which will automatically run the commuter and rapid transit trains, and have the dispatcher using the CTC board to route the rest. The dispatcher can push a button on the screen that locks out all the local switch panels. At this point I believe that RR & Co only have an add on pack that allows you to remotely dispatch on a local network, so at this point the plan is if I want to have a remote dispatcher, say like Ed, it would be trough a remote desktop connection.
