Anyone else get the feeling Atlas is being shanked by Bachmann/Kader?

Exactly.

Gotta wonder if its only a matter of time before Atlas finds another bed partner.  I do understand that there's apparently not another Chinese option at this time, but you gotta think the opportunity is there, or somewhere, for somebody to step up.

I'm kinda waiting for those curved turnouts myself but I can work around it for now.  (and yes I have benchwork!  hehe)

he didn't bring it to me, he transported it from Lowes to my house.  he is not Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairie

the benchwork and subroadbed are in place.  i have some track roughed in and have enough track to get the main in place... just need some curved turnouts so i can get everything put down and start running on the main.

Nice! Lets see some pics (because I'm interested, not because I'm rudely demanding proof).

So how do the smaller, newer guys manage to produce new product at a pretty good clip?  Why does only Atlas get the shaft?  I mean, since Atlas announced the new coil car (to the time it will probably come out), "College Boy" Craig will have three releases?  ESM will have two.  ExactRail will have 40.  What is going on here?

What is going on here?

how many products is Craig actively working on, in how many scales.  compare that to what Atlas has in O, HO, and N for items currently in production.  somethings must wait, the pockets are only so deep.  run with existing tooling, modify existing tooling, or create new tooling - each option is progressively more expensive.  look at how deep the Atlas product line is compared to Craig's - BLMA is able to offer high quality items in limited runs - he does not have 200 some products in each scale in production.

when i was at MTH, i learned first hand the power the "pre-order" numbers can have on a production schedule.
