Late entry:
I made a bit of progress on the Worcester station.

Long weekend but here's my latest paint job. Some weathering on the unit. Not happy with the overspray though, so while it looks decent its a candidate for strip and redo.

I'm with in-laws for the week.. so I won't be accomplishing much  ;)

I worked a bit on textures and foliage... trying to get the right ratio of dirt to plants in an area that's mainly industrial.

I can't place it, but I feel like something's missing.. (obviously besides structures)... too squeaky clean maybe?

Teenagers represent! That's supposed to sound not-tool-ish.

Nice scenes .. but you are missing clutter .. old tires, crap like that .. oil drums, old pallets ..etc .. but it looks better than anything I have

I'll second that , garbage bins , pails , vehicles , plastic butted people , stuff against the building , old ties . It could even be neat if there were a pile where the clutter was collected and combined awaiting carting off by rail or truck . You could add that as a detail , a truck being loaded with metal scrap from the garbage pile . Other than life and the mess we create , it's perfect . Also posters and signs could be added .

Agreed. You have great base textures and vegetation. In addition to all of the above, consider adding... disused telephone poles; a relay shed; a couple of electrical transformers enclosed in a wire fence; water and/or gas valves; a few storage sheds or other small outbuildings (an old boxcar or two, perhaps); some larger shrubs or small trees in a few areas; an old abandoned car or truck; "private property" signs; some pieces of rail and an old frog next to a turnout; broken crates; a beat-up shopping cart; a forklift truck (functional or non-functional); an old tank car on blocks serving as a fuel tank.

Another thought might be to create a small depressed area and model a slough.
