A pain in the wallet, to be sure...
Since even I had been told about this, it must be one of the world's worst kept secrets, though
Wow... I really am looking forward to spine cars as one of my least favorite intermodal models is the MTL 89' flatcar.

Just a few people might find this car enticing.

Double CRA@! Between this and all the cool ICG autoparts boxes coming out I may have to rethink my layout concept.
On second thought, nah, I'll just get a set or two for diversions, etc.

I'm so glad I'm back in 1987-89 era now! Not sure if those were around back then, but I know they did not operate in Canada back then. CP had five-unit spines in that era, but they were only for container service... no trailer hitches. Whew!

Wow!
I've never seen my Visa card shudder like that before!
Awesome news. Glad to see BLMA in the intermodal game. Now to talk to Craig about trailers and containers.....

Bingo! Or, to quote Greg Brown: It hurts so nice!
Can we get brake rigging and collapsable hitches with that?

Just
when I'm settling into a nice comfortable 1984 concept. 'Something' gets released that makes me want to hit the fast forward button and advance 25 years or so...
Dealers are already fighting over Mr. Wallet...

Yikes. So Craig, what are you thinking, Ferrari, Lambo, Maserati? I'm pretty sure you'll be shopping for one of those soon.
Very, very good call my friend.

I'm glad these were released in 1997... I will only be able to justify a few.
At least we know who the other half of Bowser's partner was:
http://www.bowser-trains.com/New_Products/New%2007-11-09%20Spine%20Car/New%2007_11_09%20Spine%20Cars.htm
I talked to Lee English at the NMRA show in Hartford. He stated they were not happy with N scale sales, but he would be happy to team up with other companies on joint projects. He gave me a poker face when I asked if the spine cars were one of those projects. Looks like we have the answer.
I wonder if Bowser is the toolmaker for BLMA's other models.

Thanks guys! These should be killer with massive amounts of detail, yet a price that's great too.
We've worked with Bowser on the project; however, it is not a "joint" project, nor did they tool our cars (or any other product for that matter). Of course, if you have questions, it's very easy to ask...
