Sep-Oct N Scale Railroading. way to go MiNi-ModuTrak/Skibbe

Picked up the new issue on the way to eat last night. Skibbe had a great article on MiNi-ModuTrak and how it came about. Pictures are almost don't do the layout justice. Seeing it in person last november was quite a treat. The scenery is extremely well done, not overdone and captures rural midwest railroading perfectly. Well done guys!

Also, Mike has an interesting commentary in the Observations column, ESPECIALLY the last paragraph. Good Point Mike.

If you go on youtube and search Harper College Rollbye (or runbye...I don't remember), you'll see a couple of videos from that show from 2007. 

Also, Jamie put a video up of his heavy Mike running over most of the layout last winter.  If you search for mod u trak, I think you'll find it.

I have to add my kudos in too. A great concept and excellent modeling. And great photography, it's all very inspirational.

When I was up in eastern Wisconsin for a family reunion last month I kept thinking of the past photos I had seen of the modules, in a teary-eyed, wishful kinda way. My cousins keep trying to lure me into moving up there and the modeling prospects pointed out by your work make such a notion tempting. So much so, I've decided to apply for a post in WI with the US Dept. of Agriculture just to float the idea (okay, so my cousins had a bigger hand in that than the modeling). Keep up the great work guys!

On the video, I was actually just playing around with a point and shoot camera that does video and through it up on You Tube. I'm planning on trying to do a more thorough one in HD with more thought, better depth of field and a cabeese attached.  I guess what I'm saying is that the video is missing a whole lot of stuff and the quality is shite.

Anyone is welcome to come visit at the shows and bring something to run. Skibbe requires all rolling stock to meet proper "qualifications" though - he is especially fond of bullet trains. Ask him.   ;D

I recall correctly, you 'guys' had this set up in a room with eggshell (photo studio) that would of been a great opp to shoot some high quality video footage.
