Your layout (the door one) and the PRR steamers are what made me decide on my switch from HO to N a couple years ago. Beautiful work, and shows the real advantages of N!

Bryan, when you visit Thursday, you can look at what I've done with the slide switches... Yeah, still a cosmetic compromise, but a lot harder to hide an N scale elephant behind...

nice work ! I "call" from Germany : What parts of cornerstone do you use for your diesel house ? I want to build the same for my engines ! It´s possible ??

Thanks!  The diesel shop is a pair of Walthers car shops spliced together, minus one column of windows.  I added a scratchbuilt roof and removed some of the fancy cornice detail on the ends.  I also added some walkways and inspection pits inside.

That's cool.  How did you take that photo?  Did you hoist yourself by pulleys above the layout, or did you know when Bing was passing a satellite over your house? ;D

I'm taking the whole layout to a train show in Omaha this weekend.  So, while I had the folding legs folded in, I photographed the layout on the floor from a ladder.  I had to splice two pictures together.

Wouldn't that layout survive the road bumps better if it was sitting on a military thickness mattress ?
