When you think about it , it is just ON and OFF at GPS locations for each side of each car . It looked as if it were a dozen cars or so . Above that there was a sensor to detect an empty condition in each car , and a status feedback for that condition . I don't know if the intrip application in real time was feed back to the computer . I don't think the train can change speed without it getting a new set of instructions . Each car must have its own GPS and memory I would think as not all cars open up on a given section . So say a dozen cars with all the same 100 or so GPS trigger spots , but some cars and sides are ignored at certain spots . If a car empties , a full one can take its place via the laptop .
ie car 1 2 3 4 5 x x x x x x x ( 1-5 are the initial active cars )
If car 1 empties out , any x car can be re designated to be 1 or any other number and given the program of that car .
