Atlas Oct announcements are over on the A-board for those of you who haven't seen them yet.  I would guess that a certain that the PS-2 WM covered hoppers will interest a certain individual who post here.

Are those Trainman cars good enough Ed ? I have never actually seen one in person . I will be getting those LIRR RS-3's at least . It takes forever to get into that site when the cat escapes the bag , maybe tomorrow I can actually see whats up .

I love the Trainman stuff!

Those new  50' boxes are great. Better than the IM ones that are twice the price. I love em.

I just wish CR had had them.

Thanks , I have been shying away just because the name . I guess I will need to loose the prejudice , and consider them as real choices in the future .

Ed's right on the money!  I'm trying real hard to stick to 1960 as my modeling era, and announcements like this are making that difficult.

Re: CNJ RS-3's

When I came into N-scale, all I was interested in - for years - was modelling the CNJ. But of course it was next to impossible. I even picked up some of the brass Overland CNJ cabooses and I think Hallmark RS-3's.

Now, when I have turned to modern stuff for like 20 years, everything is available....

Amazing!!!   :'(

I already roster 8 similar cars that resulted from kitbashes and repaints, but what the heck... you can never have too many cement hoppers!  2 each, WM and Penn Central, please!

check out the fine scale flanges:

Oh wait, that's HO scale they're using to illustrate the new N release ...  :D

What is the meaning of the R and that yellow/orange paint?

The WM was one of the first class 1's to standardize their fleet with roller bearings.  The yellow end markings and the "R" were applied to alert maintenance crews of the new equipment.

I can see your confusion , and apologize for not being clearer . I actually said auto boxcars , not autobox . These are a past run in the Trainman line that fit my era .

I wonder if the N version will have RBs ...
