Walthers numbers for HO are 55xx , N Scale Supply numbers for these N scale cars are 53xx . So I think these are really going to happen .

If those bikes are in Z-scale, what would be the possibility to get them in N-scale?

These are etched brass bikes. 6 part for one bike. A friend of mine in Germany etched them for me a couple of month ago. I'll ask him if he can do it in N also.

WS cars are not exact models, this allows them to produce cars without licences, for much cheaper. This results in better materials and detailing due to better (more expensive tooling). Keep in mind GM cars are not doable in N scale due to license restrictions.

I think the concept is a great idea. Asside from somewhat "quaint" scenes the WS figure potray, I think they are very well detailed and painted. I just belive that people (especially in N scale) should blend into a scene and not become a scene in and of themselves.

I predicted all this and more 25 years ago next thursday.

But on a serious note - this woodland scenics thread reminds me that I want to do a little study before I invest in too many N scale figures ...

The idea is to buy representative samples of ordinary folk from each of the well known N scale figure makers and see how they "measure up". Of course there are many facets to this (are they "clumpy" or "well proportioned"), but the initial emphasis will be on scale height.

The main reason being that I've seen it posted that Preiser "men" average out to about 6'6" in height.

Of course if any of you out there already own samples along with a scale rule, maybe you could save me some dough and report back.

I've seen an excellent comparison, online.  If I remember later, I'll see if I can find it again. 
There were photos, and descriptions of each major supplier of N scale figures.  They even break it down by clothing styles.

Those WS Pillsbury Dough Folks are cute , and the plumper I get the less odd that appear to me . They could , if one thought they were too out of bounds , be used at a nuke power plant site as a joke or the diner next door to it , serving yellow cake flap jacks and the like .
