Robb had told me LTEX in McDonald, OH was getting another shipment of GP15-1's so I headed down there on Tuesday. Saw this guy peeking out of the trees, but those aren't GP15's:

Looked like they were on lunch break or just clearing the main. Then this guy drove by with a flatbed:

He stopped a waved me over, thought I was in trouble. He said if I came back at 5 I would see a shipment of "large train engines" It was 3 now so I came back at 4:30 and stayed till 6:30, no choo choo's.

Oh well, here is a shot of the GP15's already parked there:

I'm sure the new ones are there by now, maybe tomorrow I'll go back.

Also this is a temp post from a book:

It is downtown Youngstown 1969 where the old Erie main splits, left is the main that continues to the PA state line, right is entering P&LE trackage headed to Pittsburgh. There was a tower here NK, but it was automated with signals in 1956. The building straight ahead is the William B Pollock Co. where they made hot metal cars.

I tried to re-create the scene today. The main to the left is just about covered with fill from a nearby hill. The Pollock buildings are still there as is their big yellow traveling crane. Everything else is gone  :'(

Better late than never. I am now working from Picasa, but just established myself there this morning.

Today, some equipment of the Philadelphia Transportation Co., which operated the subways, elevateds, streetcars and buses in Philly a half century ago.

Ever see an elevated railway freight motor? Well, PTC had one. It is at the end on the Market St. elevated in Millbourne Mills or Upper Darby, PA,

Here's a PCC car covered with safety slogans:

Finally, A PCC glides past Independence Hall (taken from a 2nd floor window there):

More PTC next week.

SO, Mr. Big Shot can't pick up the phone when he's 20 minutes from my office?  Sheesh!  Good catch on the CF-7, she's usually up north on the Centreville Branch...  Here's a look at her sister a couple weeks ago...

I had a lot going on that day Lee. Normally, I would not miss an opportunity when I am anywhere near Cambridge to come bug you and run trains on your layout. I had lunch with a buddy in Denton and then my 1992 Chevy S-10, my work horse, decided to burst a brake line. My wife was at work, and I knew I had dog duty, so I had to bust a move back across the bridge on Friday on Memorial Day weekend to Arnold to get my Shepherd out. But hey, come this fall, I will be an official chicken necker. Tell you more about that later! Mr. P at MDDE told me that the 1203 was down for maintenance. But according to MDDE's website, this CF7 is supposed to be based here at Federalsburg. I thought the northern branch had the CR switcher and the other 2 RS3m's.

And I am no big shot!!!!!!! You are, with that awesome layout. Let me know when you need some leased Rock Island Power!

Yep, quite a few of us.

I'm in Cockeysville (one block away from Timonium, and 1 mile from the fairgrounds).
