I wish I knew. Alvin (@Wutter) kinda fell off the radar. I really would like to see this project move forward. Maybe someone else is willing to take over the design process? This has been a giant hole in my roster for years. The general shape of the Walthers cars is good, but the end cages are just pain hideous.

I'm more than happy to pay for the work.

Alvin is in college - he is probably busy studying.  I saw him at the local Greenberg show in Novemeber, so he is still around.  He was tinkering with his custom-made signal system.  It looked really good!

Last time I spoke with Daniel was right before I ended up moving out to LA for a 6 month internship so most of 2017 has been a wash for me. I'm still working on it, so hopefully some updates to post about the design in February; I just haven't had time to sit down and work on it.

Hmmm . . . I was under an impression that there was a shortage of MEs in this country, so companies should be knocking on your door to hire people like you.

My father in law had very good career as a ME. He retired after working on the wing redesign for the A10 warthog.

Petroleum Engineering for one of the major oil/ gas companies.  It's mechanical with geology.  Outrageously good money.

This is an old screen shot but I basically had most of the first layer roughed in with the correct dimensions. Still needed to put in the halfetch detailing, hatches, brakewheel, and return pipe supports, I'd say it was about 40% there.
