That's a great picture, you can get a sense of how massive this car and the loads it carried were. This is one reason why the Pennsy was so bad assed. They just built stuff when they needed it to get the job done.

I really like what you did here with deck and scribing the lines, helps with the overall look of the car. I wish I had the skills, but I couldn't figure out a way to get it done and keep everything straight going through the curves and all. Nicely played, sir! What was the technique?

I scribed those lines with steel calipers. I did it at an angle and used the side of the car as my guide. I flipped it to the other side then scribed another line. After that, I adjusted the calipers and scribed again. They are steel on soft metal so I doubt it will actually jack up the tips.

Neah.  I have been doing this for years with my calipers on plastic or soft metals like pewter, Zamac, aluminum and brass.
