I suppose one could also build the Kaslo Shops kit...

Except being resin it has no weight....

Juneco had a white-metal kit for these cars in HO, we have at least half a dozen of them on the club layout, not sure if they did that kit in N as well or not? Probably just HO.

A couple of the HO ones show here:

No, they did it in N scale as well. I passed on it as the MIL bulkhead was of greater concern.

This really show how far we have come since the days when everyone, MT included, said, "If we can't put 256 road names on a car it's not worth doing, we won't make any money."

I asked the same question.... I can see this thing "blowin in the wind" unless the frame is metal or something..... "Inquiring minds want to know..Joe"...(hey, that kinda rhymes)
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

Made entirely of depleted uranium. Prepare for new California warnings.

Or giraffe head load :scared:

But would the giraffe be truly scaled for N scale? I think the last Micro Trains giraffe was slightly out of scale!
. . . 42 . . .

I'd guess it's cast metal, like the Atlas trash flats.

I'll bet a sideways giraffe load that it will be cast white metal. MTL has done a lot of cast white metal loads and it seems to me to be the only logical material for a large run. Brass would be too costly. Uranium would make a loco unnecessary  :P

Undecorated, CP, and BC Rail cars are in my future.  Just had three of these cars with pole loads at work.  Now if we can get the pulpwood cars shown in the photo of the HO layout made, then all would be right in randolph.

To Tom's question...the spin is Zinc Injection cast so weight shouldn't be a problem.  The uprights and deck are styrene.  Loads are going to be cast in featherweight resin to keep the center of gravity as low as possible.  The mockups show this combo works well.

Dang it, the St. Maries River RR used ex-MILW cars, so I don't think these would work for me in the future if I ever build the STMA...but hmmm, I could probably get away with proto-lancing another shortline very similar to the STMA...too bad all that is in the future.
Looking forward to seeing the car though

Love the St. Maries River RR! My logging branch operation is similar in concept to their's but I plan to eventually replace all my Walthers log cars, which are close to the MILW cars, with these new cars.

Sorry about your Packers.   :(
