Meh, we already have that big-a$$ yellow box car train, among others, for that.  However, if Eric is adding passenger ops, which starts to make the passenger trains have more purpose and less roundy-round, then I'm fine with it.

So what is the exact prototype for the Juice train over it's years.

Unfortunately, I don't have the exact answer to this question.  I can tell you that from pictures I've seen of the Juice Train in the 1980s and 1990s here on the east coast, there are variations in the cars on the same train.   Even photos that don't give great views of minute details can clearly show different doors or different skirting.  I, too, would like to know what cars are appropriate for what era.

Years ago the cars returning to FL were sent back in batches in regular freight.  Nowadays the whole train returns in one piece.  CSX usually tacks some containers on the returning train headed to FL.  Guess they make a few extra bucks doing this.

CSX has been known to combine the southbound empty juice train with train Q173 whenever it suits their operating plans...

So what is the exact prototype for the Juice train over it's years.

Excluding the most modern cars, I think the classic orange train of 1988-2000 had three types of cars - one of which was close to the 62' beer car.  I don't think anything available is like the other two - one of them was a non-ribbed sided car also around 60' or so - probably FGE built.  I forget the other one - it might have been close to the 57' PCF car but I think not.

Saw 6-8 of the white Tropicana cars this past Thursday right behind the locos on an Eastbound UP mixed freight just west of Gila Bend AZ.
